Harvest Spirit by Barue-Barue Harvest Spirit by Barue-Barue
I dont know what to say.

I drew the owl over a year back. I was so intimidated by it, I couldnt color it for fear of ruining it. So it went into the "WIP-graveyard" drawer until a few months later where I colored the owl and intimidated myself so much that I was afraid to draw a background, since I promised myself I would, but felt inadequate. It returned to the drawer until now.

I love the moon. And the moon loves me.

go figure the first whole-hearted attempt I make of a complete, and full background, would be of the night.

Goodnight

Absolutely beautiful! Glad you were brave enough to colour it, the background turned out lovely :)

This is beautiful! My favorite part is the hands/claws. Very "owly." :)

This is beautiful! You did the coloring and background very well. I know what you mean by being afraid of ruining something, though. My brother (who's a cartoonist) is the same way, so he makes a copy of every drawing and then colors/adds to the copy. lol :)

Anyway, I really love this. It's gorgeous. ^_^

Wow, this is gorgeous

The composition is so aesthetically pleasing, like a wood cut print, a wall hanging or a book cover.

The texture on the body... it looks so soft and bright, like a mixture of downy feathers and pure gold, the colours of which go beautifully with the dark blues you've chosen. It truly does look like an embodiment of the harvest! Loving the repetition of the bright, glowing moon in the eyes too :3

I understand the feeling of being intimidated by my own drawings, hell, I'm intimidated by the idea of ruining a blank page!

This is really nice! I love everything about this, but especially the owl's face and the border. Also, I didn't realize until I had been looking at it for a minute that the owl has hands!

Yes! And a humanoid body! Its tucked up in a crouch behind the wings, but it was meant to be shrouded, and hard to distinguish at first glance.

Im so happy you noticed it. <^.^> Thankyou for commenting!
